Neighborhood
Networks Program - Charleston-Kanawha
Housing has been awarded a Resident Opportunities and Self
Sufficiency grant to develop Neighborhood Network Computer
Centers in all ten public housing communities. These computer
centers will give residents access to the Internet and to
computer skills training as well as free time on the computers
during posted lab hours.
After
School Program – Charleston-Kanawha
Housing offers after-school programs in four of the family
communities. These programs give children a place to go after
school to get homework assistance and tutoring.
Senior
Services Coordinator – Charleston-Kanawha
Housing employs a full-time Senior Services Coordinator for
elderly and disabled residents primarily in the high-rise
communities. The Service Coordinator is available to assist
residents and connect them to services.
Safety
& Security - Charleston-Kanawha
Housing employs a full-time Safety & Security Officer
to coordinate all police/focus patrol activities in Charleston-Kanawha
Housing developments. The Security Officer also provides trainings
for the residents and oversees/monitors the security cameras
and equipment located in each development.
